Chobanova (Abstract)
Knowledge
is the main source of development of the modern society. That is why the
problems, which concern creation and introduction of this wealth, have become
more important nowadays. The
objective of this article is to define which problems of creation and
implementation of the new knowledge are of interest for the society, and which
are emerging ones in 21st century. The contemporary interest of the society is presented in 10 groups of problems: science and responsibility, science and freedom, science and ethics, the man in science, scientists and citizens, science and modern world, professional rights and responsibilities in medical sciences, fraud and bad administration in science, science and risk, science and national security. The emerging problems to be discussed are those of structures of national and transnational innovation systems and the role of research centers, motivation for science and technology development, and criteria for societal subsidies. |
