Evaluation of the Quality and Professional Ability of the University Teachers in the Field of Natural Sciences
Ivelin Kuleff, Stefan Stoyanov Abstact In this paper some objective evidences against the use of criterion “impact factor” of the scientific journals for evaluation of the quality of the scientific work of the university teachers in the field of natural sciences are given. Instead of use of impact factor for evaluation of the professional ability of the university teachers (professors, associate and assistant professors), the using of citation index (number of citations divided into number of published papers) for the evaluated person is proposed.
