September 22, 1908 – the “Unknown” Event in the

New Bulgarian History

The dates and the events, connected with them in the Bulgarian, as well as in every other history, are a lot  They are familiar to the historians, but to the Bulgarian society and especially to the young generations they remain in the darkness of the unknown. September 22, 1908 is the day in which the Bulgarian Prince Ferdinand Koburg Gotta declared the Independence of Bulgarian Principality, thus overcoming the unjust decision of the Powers from Berlin in 1878.This is a part of the new Eastern Crisis, known in the history as the Bosnia Crisis. With the help of Russia Bulgaria succeeded to reach financial Treaty with the Ottoman Empire and to receive the Turkish approval for its sovereignty. The Government already appointed in all European capitals its Ministers Pleinipotentiaire. Prince Ferdinand obtained the title of Tsar, and Bulgaria was already a Kingdom.
