European Exchange Network of StudEnts and Mentors in science Education

Proposal :

- Create an informal network of NGO dealing with science education, involving university students to teach younger ones about science or to welcome them in research labs for short internships.

- Recognise the value of research experiences for high-school students in science education. Push for an added value through experiences in foreign labs or scientific workshops abroad.

- Offer a regular opportunity for university students mentoring younger ones to share with their European colleagues

Agenda :

- March or April meet in Budapest ? (equidistant?)

- Propose a common organisation to agree on the students and mentors exchanged

- prepare a application for fundings + common presentation of the network.

- Agree on first round of exchanges for summer 2008 (approx 25 students / 5 mentors?, one student per organisation sent in each partner organisation?)

- May: request for first fundings

- summer 2008 : first exchanges

- autumn 2008 : first feedbacks
