SECOND ANNOUNCEMENT

Dear Colleagues,
The Organizing Committee of the Ninth Bulgarian Conference on Biomedical Physics and Engineering is delighted to inform you that the submitted abstracts have been peer-reviewed and some of them have been accepted for oral and poster presentation correspondingly. The authors will be notified personally.

Official languages: Bulgarian and English.

Presentation of papers:
Oral presentation – up to 15 min.
Poster presentation – area up to 1 sq.m.

Instructions for the authors:
The papers – two hard copies and an electronic version (CD-ROM or floppy disk) should be sent to the Organizing Committee in the following form:

The respective affiliation should be written down after the title of the paper and the author(s) name(s).
Please use black colour on a quality laser-printer. Figures should be reproduced with a good contrast.
Any text outside the above given frame will be omitted.

Proceedings:
The papers will be included in the Proceedings of the Conference provided that at least one of the authors has registered. Proceedings will be available at the registration desk.

Deadline:
For submission of the papers and the Final Registration Form - 31.08.2004.

Participation fees:

The participation fee entitles the participants to:

• The Conference Proceedings;
• Attendance to the scientific sessions, symposium and workshop;
• The welcome cocktail and coffee breaks.

Accommodation:
The Organizing Committee kindly advises you to choose in due time your hotel (web site: http://www.sofiahotels.net/)
Trying to help you with your choice we are supplying information on several hotels situated in Sofia central part or close to the Conference venue.
In case you choose one of the hotels, please fill the hotel name in the Registration form. The Organizing Committee will take care of your booking.

In Sofia there are also hotels belonging to the Hilton, Radisson, Sheraton, Princess chains (see http://www.sofiahotels.net/).

Certificate: If you would like to have a certificate, please state this in your registration form. Additional fee for the certificate: 30 EUR.

Insurance: The registration fee does not include insurance of any kind. It is strongly advised that you make your own insurance (medical and of other kind). The insurance is to be purchased in your country of origin. The Organizing Committee does not accept any responsibility for failed arrangements of delegate’s insurance.

Passport and visa: All delegates from abroad need a valid international passport and, if necessary, an entry visa to Bulgaria. Schengen Country citizens are entitled to a visa free entry. It applies for certain other countries as well. Please consult your travel agency for details. On request, the Organizing Committee will send a formal letter of invitation to participate in the Conference with confirmation of the registration.

Banking/ Currency: In Bulgaria decimal currency is used with the Lev as basic unit (1 Lev = 100 stotinki). Notes are issued in 100 Lv, 50 Lv, 20 Lv, 10 Lv, 5 Lv, 2 Lv, 1 Lv, whereas coins are 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50 St, and 1 Lv.
Exchange rate: 1 Euro = 1.956 Lv. Most international credit cards are accepted.
